My overall opinion? Well, in terms of free e-mail services thisone's pretty good. They scored points for having a comprehensive helppage and overall layout, and unread messages were in bold, ratherthan having a huge image next to them which just increases loadingtime and takes up space. They also send a welcome message to you whenyou get a new account there, telling you things you can do and soon.
Help page
In here, they didn't just tell you how to do things in technicalterms and leave it at that. It was well set out, easy to understand, written in terms the vast majority would be able to understand, andwhen they told you how to do something they provided a link so youcould go straight there before you forgot what to do.
Security
Better than most, but annoying. After a certain amount of time you'Time Out' of your mailbox. To get back in, you have to log in again.Still, I found I could use my browser's back button to get back intomy mailbox long enough to do anything malicious.
Log-in page
They ask if you want frames or not. Go, Anonymous. To! A lot of peopledon't use frames, so this is a good advantage. Like the rest, it'swell layed-out. You can easily wander around to see if it looks good, which it obviously does, and every page has a link to return to thelog-in/sign-up page.
Terms of Agreement
The annoying thing with this was that once I'd 'read' it all, ieskipped to the bottom of the page and saved it, they had a link atthe bottom to go straight to the registration form. Instead of goingback to the top I used this. However, it told me that my formcontained no data or something like that. I had to press back on mybrowser and go to the top againbefore I could get to the form.
Signatures
You can only have one, unlike a few places and like most, and if youwant seperating lines (---) you have to put them in yourself - theyput in a double return instead that makes it look a little like partof the letter, especially if you're sending an anonymous message anddon't put your name at the end. However, there wasn't anything wrongwith this and it didn't annoy me with little error messages.
The directional images that you find in the frame, if you useframes, or down the side if you don't, didn't have alt-tabs on them.I had a choice of clicking on Images or holding my mouse over eachone and reading the tab that appeared on the bottom bar of mybrowser. I chose the latter, and so didn't have to wait for theimages to load. Didn't have any problems loading the pages here.Composing a message was easy: again, good layout. Their majoradvertising junket, the anonymous message with no headers so therecipient couldn't reply or see who sent it, was something you couldactually do at home with the directions they give you - you don'teven need to register for an account. When I sent one to myself, there was good support on this. No flaming, you'll just get yourselfin trouble - the hyperreal remailer, which is the one theyreccommend, tells you that if the service has been misused you cantell them about it at abuse@hyperreal.art.pl. I give them a 7.647 outof 10.
